Technical and advisory committees
AIFA’s authority and scientific autonomy is supported by two scientific technical committees, comprising experts with proven and documented experience in the sector.
The Scientific Technical advisory Committee (CTS) and the Price and Reimbursement Committee (CPR) are appointed by decree of the Minister of Health, and are each made up of ten members, three of whom are designated by the Minister of Health, one of whom acts as president, one member is appointed by the Minister of economy and finance and four by the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. The Director General of the Agency and the President of the National Institute of Health are statutory members. Non-statutory members remain in office for three years, renewable consecutively only once.
