Monitoring of medicinal products used during the COVID-19 epidemic

This page contains regional data on the purchase of medicinal products under monitoring during the pandemic. Data are expressed in packs per 100,000 inhabitants/day.

Data are extracted from the daily movements (MOV) of the medicinal products’ traceability flow (Ministerial Decree of 15 July 2004, as amended).

For the drug Remdesivir the aggregate data for Italy is available; in addition the data for the months of August, September and October refer to the packs dispensed for off-label use

The historical series are standardised by resident population and number of calendar days, and are rounded off with a 5-term weighted moving average.

Data source: MOV NSIS (Ministerial Decree of 15 August 2004, as amended)
