AIFA is deeply sorry to announce the passing of Dr. Giuseppe (Pino) Pimpinella.

Head of the Pharmacovigilance Office, he was a passionate coordinator even during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, showing high competence and professional dedication, of which we are deeply grateful to him.

Pino had created strong professional ties in AIFA and enjoyed the affection and esteem of all those who collaborated with him. We will remember his knowledge, his generosity and his extraordinary commitment at both a national and international level in these two years of pandemic, when the role of pharmacovigilance has all the more proved crucial.

The Agency as a whole expresses heartfelt sympathies to his family.
