As you know, the European Commission is coordinating a common European response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stepping up COVID-19 vaccines production in the EU and eliminating bottlenecks in the supply chains is a key part of these efforts. We thank you very much for having responded to our survey on ramping up.

Covid-19 vaccine production

To this end, it is our pleasure to invite your company to attend the first pan-EU online matchmaking event to mobilise Europe’s full potential for the production of vaccines.

The event is organised by the Commission’s Task Force for Industrial Scale-Up of COVID-19 vaccines under the leadership of Commissioner Thierry Breton. Our aim is to speed up connections between vaccine producers and service companies such as contract development and manufacturing organisations, fill & finish,

equipment producers and others, with a view to improving planning for current and future vaccine production in Europe.

The dates for the event are:

• 29 March: Matchmaking of manufacturing companies (raw materials, manufacturing, coupling & formulation, fill & finish)
• 31 March: Matchmaking of potential suppliers of the entire vaccines production value chain (including packaging, storage, shipment & distribution, production of accessories such as syringes and vials)
