New Features of the Conference and Meeting Authorisation System
We would like to inform all pharmaceutical companies, organisational secretariats and providers that, starting on Monday, 19 January 2026, at 1:00 p.m., a new feature will be available within the Conference and Meeting Authorisation System.
The new feature includes the introduction of an optional field called “Intermediate dates”, which will allow users to enter one or more dates between the start date and end date of the event.
When filling in a new application:
- it will only be possible to enter intermediate dates if the interval between the start date and end date is greater than one day;
- intermediate dates may be entered individually or by selecting a time interval, in the case of contiguous dates;
- it will not be possible to enter intermediate dates if the interval between the start date and the end date is only one day.
Intermediate dates may be changed in accordance with the same timelines set out in FAQ no. 32. Changes are permitted no later than two days before the scheduled date. The end date of the event may be brought forward or postponed; if the end date of the event is brought forward, the change must be made at least two days before the new date.
When assessing the application, if AIFA finds any discrepancies, it may request additional information regarding the intermediate dates if the event takes place over several days.
Finally, please note that:
- only intermediate dates corresponding to actual training days with a scientific programme should be entered;
- it is not necessary to enter intermediate dates for training events where the same scientific programme is available continuously for several days (e.g. distance learning events lasting 365 days).
