Note 97
The updated report with the monitoring of consumption relating to medicines subject to AIFA Note 97 is available.
An analysis of the information available after 28 months from the entry of Note 97 shows:
- An increase in the number of subjects treated (+21.6% in the comparison between the period Before versus Post application of the Note) and in the expenditure incurred by the NHS compared to the period prior to the entry of the Note (+19%); on the other hand, a progressive decrease in the consumption of VKAs is observed.
- The expenditure figure of the NAOs in the first 9 months of 2022 is approximately equal to 407 million euros. If projected over the whole of 2022, this would generate an expenditure equal to 542 million euros; that would mean an increase in spending equal to 4.5% compared to the 2021 figure.
