In the context of the State-Regions Agreement of 6 June 2019, inherent to the resources for the three-year period 2015-2016-2017 provided for by Law No. 449/1997, on 14 December the Agency's Board of Directors approved the call for the selection of 3 projects to be carried out throughout the country for the collection of post-marketing evidence on effectiveness and safety of medicines.

“The collection of real world data represents an ever growing need in order to monitor the efficient and safe use of medicines after their placing on the market to protect public health - says the Director General, Nicola Magrini - In this sense, the AIFA Call for National Effectiveness and Safety Projects in the real world intends to select projects to be carried out throughout the national territory to collect data on the therapies used for COVID-19 infections, on the medicines used in the context of chronic diseases and on recently approved medicines for the treatment of rare diseases”. 

Applications have to be sent exclusively to the PEC address: areavigilanzapostmarketing@pec.aifa.gov.it no later than 6 p.m. on 10 March 2023.
