AIFA and Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato renew their cooperation

The cooperation between the Italian Medicines Agency and the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (IPZS) will continue for the three-year-period 2025-2028. Indeed, AIFA’s Board of Directors has given a positive opinion to the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2022.
Among the objectives of the agreement are to ensure the continuity and efficiency of “TrovaNormeFarmaco”, the web-portal developed in collaboration with the IPZS to promote the knowledge of medicines legislation, to simplify and automate the Agency’s publication procedures for and facilitate research and consultation.
The renewal of such collaboration will make it possible to improve the quality of information contained in the respective databases, carry out update, study and monitoring activities on anti-counterfeiting technologies in the pharmaceutical sector and provide assistance and support to companies in identifying the most suitable technological solution to prevent counterfeiting.
