The AIFA Activity Report Is Now Online

The report, published on the Agency’s official website, presents key data and activities from 2024, with comparisons to the previous two years.
The year 2024 marked the beginning of the AIFA reform, featuring a new organisational structure and the initial steps toward internal reorganisation. The report documents this transitional phase while also highlighting the Agency’s core work, focusing on the results achieved and offering insights into future perspectives and scenarios.
In the introduction, President Robert Nisticò, Technical Scientific Director Pierluigi Russo, and Administrative Director Giovanni Pavesi reflect on the accomplishments to date and outline upcoming objectives.
The report emphasises major topics such as drug evaluation, access to medicines, promotion of appropriate therapies, digitisation of services, public information, communication, and transparency.
An interactive timeline of 2024 milestones is also included, allowing users to explore detailed insights on each event.
The report presents data across various operational areas: safeguarding health through medicines, international engagement and support for innovation, access to reimbursement and pharmaceutical governance, pharmacovigilance, promotion of independent research, quality inspections and controls, oversight of pharmaceutical company communications, and economic, administrative, and legal activities.
Using tables, images, interactive links, and graphical data representations, the report aims to enhance transparency and foster greater public understanding of AIFA’s mission to protect public health.
