National Report "The use of medicines in the elderly population in Italy"
Press release n° 666 - On Wednesday 13 October 2021 at 10.00 am, in the Sala delle Colonne of the Angelicum Congress Centre in Rome, the Italian Medicines Agency will present the first National Report "The use of medicines in the elderly population in Italy" (Year 2019), produced by the National Observatory on the Use of Medicines (OsMed) with the coordination of AIFA and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
The Report describes the characteristics of pharmaceutical prescription in the over-65 population and analyses in detail some aspects related to the use of medicines in the elderly in three different care settings: home (territorial prescription), hospital and nursing homes (RSAs).
The presentation will be broadcast on AIFA's YouTube channel.
